HP announced 14-inch thin-and-light Pavilion dm4t entertainment laptop series. Less than 1 inch thin and weighing less than 4.5 pounds, the new Pavilion dm4t features an improved sound system. Measuring 13.4 x 9 x 1-1.3 inches and weighing 4.4 pounds, the dm4t is small and light enough to slip into a messenger bag. Sony has released the Sony’s mini notebook VAIO M , featuring a 10.1-inch LED-backlight 1024×600 pixel display, the Intel Atom Atom N450 1.66GHz processor, and a 6-cell battery.
The VAIO M Series comes with Genuine Windows 7 Starter Edition OS, a 250GB hard drive, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, three USB 2.0 ports, a 6-cell battery, and a Motion Eye camera embedded in the screen bezel for video chatting,1GB of memory and Intel GMA 3150 graphics. Dell has announced the Adamo XPS, 13.4-inch an ultra-thin laptop with an innovative hinge.
According to the leaked specifications, the 1.5-pound Adamo XPS features Intel’s 1.4GHz or 1.9GHz ultra-low voltage processor, the GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 120GB of 180GB solid state drive with Windows 7 OS pre-installed, and two battery options: 20Wh for 2.5 hours or 40Wh for four hours of battery life. The notebook is reportedly 0.4 inch thin.

It features a 16:9 aspect ratio which means you get a wider workspace -all packed into a compact 11.1-inch (diagonal) footprint. The Asus N61, a new 16-inch laptop that belongs to the multimedia-oriented Asus N Series, is now available in the US.
Newegg offers the Asus N61Vg-X1 model, featuring the Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 2.20GHz processor, the NVIDIA GeForce GT 220M 1GB dedicated video card, 4GB of DDR2 RAM, a 320GB hard drive and a DVD burner.Asustek says the N61 is equipped with the exclusive SonicMaster design, which features a dedicated resonance space arrangement that provides sound layering for better audio reproduction.
With its default 6-cell battery, the entertainment notebook weighs 6.5 pounds.
The N61Vg-X1 runs Windows Vista Home Premium and is currently priced at $799 after instant savings.

Hewlett-Packard is going to release the HP Pavilion dv8 desktop replacement notebook, the Pavilion dm1 and dm3 ultraportables, and the Mini 311 netbook.
The more interesting HP Pavilion dv8 looks like it will have: an 18.4-inch display, an Intel Quad-Core Core i7 720QM CPU, 4GB of RAM, a 640GB HDD, and a Blu-ray drive.
The HP Pavilion dv8 features one of Intel’s next generation quad core CPUs – the Core i7 720QM – and an 18.4-inch display. The Intel CULV-based dm1 and dm3 include Core 2 Duo ultra-low voltage chips and 11.6″ and 13.3″ screens respectively. Finally, the HP Mini 311 is built on NVIDIA Ion netbook platform. It has the Intel Atom N270 CPU and an 11.6-inch display.
Mini 311 netbook comes with a 11.6 inch display and build based on NVIDIA Ion netbook platform. Mini 311 is powered by an Intel Atom N270 processor.
There’s no info on availability dates.

Nokia has just launched their very first netbook, the Nokia Booklet 3G.
The Nokia Booklet 3G comes with an Intel Atom processor, plus a 10 inch LCD display, which Nokia are calling ‘HD ready’ so I presume it will be able to playback HD content.
Weighing no more than 2.75 pounds, the 0.78″ thin Booklet 3G features a 10.1-inch 1280×720 display, the Intel Atom Z530 1.6GHz processor, a “fanless” chipset design, 1GB of “soldered down” DDR2 memory, a 120GB 1.8″ hard drive with Windows 7 OS pre-installed, and a battery life of “up to 12 hours with normal daily use”.
Nokia’s first netbook will be priced at around $810 reportedly. The company didn’t provide info on availability date.
