Sony officially announced its VAIO X series, “the world’s lightest notebook”.
It features a 16:9 aspect ratio which means you get a wider workspace -all packed into a compact 11.1-inch (diagonal) footprint. And not only is the scratch-resistant LCD display durable, it also provides brilliant picture quality with 100 percent colour saturation and improved brightness, thanks to its LED backlight technology.
The X Series is also supplied with both a standard and super-extended capacity battery, delivering extra-long battery life for day-long productivity – up to 3.5 hours for the standard battery and up to 14 hours for the super-extended capacity battery.It is based on Intel’s “Menlow” platform and includes an Intel Atom Z550 2GHz processor, the GMA 500 integrated graphics, 2GB of DDR2 RAM, and a 64GB or 128GB solid state drive with Windows 7 pre-installed.
Sony VAIO X starts at $1299.99 and is available in Black and Gold.
