Dell New Vostro Laptop Series

dell-vostroDell introduced three new laptops from its Vostro series including the 13.3-inch Vostro 1320, the 15.4 inch 1520, and the 17 inch 1720. These budged-friendly notebooks are based on Intel’s Core 2 Duo processors and support up to 8GB of DDR2 memory. The new systems have been specifically built to meet the requirements of business users worldwide and pack a number of features, including pre-installed videoconferencing and  webcam software. Additional options include SSD-based storage, fingerprint reader for security and even an encrypted HDD with Wave Systems software.
The new Vosto notebooks come with up to 250GB of hard drive space or a 128GB solid state drive, and with a slot-load DVD burner or Blu-Ray combo drive. The maximal display resolutions are 1280×800 on the 1320, 1440×900 on the 1520, and 1920 x 1200 on the 1720. Other specs include an optional 1.3MP webcam, WiFi, optional Bluetooth, and optional fingerprint reader and the Trusted Platform module 1.3. Dell’s Vostro 1320, 1520 and 1720 run Windows Vista OS.

The new models start at just US$569 and are already available in North America and different parts of South America also.

8GB memory. Can you tell me why anybody need so much memory? I’m using computers for my job and i never use more than 2 gigs in 32 bit mode….

I think the blu-ray feature thrown in with this Vostro model is a differentiator for laptops of this series range – the 8 GB can only be a plus.

it’s very useful for all work at home by Notebook 13.3 inchbecause very nice

both LG and LiteOn makes a great performing dvd burner, they also feature those anti-shock mount .-;
