Sony has released the Sony’s  mini notebook VAIO M , featuring a 10.1-inch LED-backlight 1024×600 pixel display, the Intel Atom Atom N450 1.66GHz processor, and a 6-cell battery.

The VAIO M Series comes with Genuine Windows 7 Starter Edition OS, a 250GB hard drive, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, three USB 2.0 ports, a 6-cell battery, and a Motion Eye camera embedded in the screen bezel for video chatting,1GB of memory and Intel GMA 3150 graphics.  Connectivity, meanwhile, includes WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, ethernet, VGA output, a memory card reader and three USB 2.0 ports, along with audio in/out..

Sony’s new netbook weighs 3-pounds and it is available in black or white color.

The VAIO M has been officially unveiled in the UK. There’s no info on US availability and price about $453.

asus_n50v-notebookThe Asus N61, a new 16-inch laptop that belongs to the multimedia-oriented Asus N Series, is now available in the US.

Newegg offers the Asus N61Vg-X1 model, featuring the Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 2.20GHz processor, the NVIDIA GeForce GT 220M 1GB dedicated video card, 4GB of DDR2 RAM, a 320GB hard drive and a DVD burner.Asustek says the N61 is equipped with the exclusive SonicMaster design, which features a dedicated resonance space arrangement that provides sound layering for better audio reproduction.

With its default 6-cell battery, the entertainment notebook weighs 6.5 pounds.

The N61Vg-X1 runs Windows Vista Home Premium and is currently priced at $799 after instant savings.

asus_eee_pc1008haAsus has launched its MacBook Air-style Eee PC 1008HA in Taiwan, and will ASUS has officially released specs for the portable PC.The skinny netbook measures between 18 and 26mm top to bottom, has a footprint of 262 x 178 and weighs 1.1kg – one of the lightest 10in, HDD-equipped mini laptops out there – though it’s up against some tough competition from Acer’s still-to-ship inch-thick Aspire One D250.

The 1008HA uses Intel’s 1.66GHz Atom N280 processor, though Asus is keeping mum on the chipset – and hence the netbook’s graphics capability. It has said the machine has 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and 10/100Mb/s Ethernet – the later, with two USB 2.0, analogue audio and VGA ports, is hidden behind contoured flaps on the sides the machine.

Available colors include white, black, blue, pink, red and sapphire blue. We have no info on pricing and availability.

Acer will launch a 10-inch version of the Aspire One netbook in February or March 2009.One of the reasons for the success of netbooks is that they provide the basics of a computer device inside a small form factor and with a price tag suitable for the currently low worldwide economy. The 10-inch model is rumored to carry the same features as the original Aspire One, except with the display now being 10-inches in size the casing will be slightly larger. Hopefully, we will begin to see some other features in this model, such as the inclusion of 3G support on models released here in the US, but it looks like we are going to have to wait a bit longer to get that information.Stay tuned for more updates.

ASUS has announced tow new gaming notebooks,The Asus G50 comes with 15.4 or 15.6-inch LCD screen, an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, a GeForce 9700M GT GPU, while the Asus G71 (Introduced a few weeks ago) is equipped with a 17-Inch screen, 4GB of DDR2 800 MHz SDRAM, can receive up to one Terabyte of storage space, and a range of Intel Core2 Duo and Quad Core CPUs. The G50 weighs in at 6.2lbs and will be offered with Intel’s dual-core processor, and support up to 4GB of RAM. An HDMI output is included.The basic G71 will include Intel’s dual-core chip at 2.53GHz, and support for up to 4GB of RAM. A Blu-ray drive will also be standard.
