LG GW550 Windows Mobile QWERTY Smartphone

LG has announced a new business-oriented smartphone at CommunicAsia 2009. Dubbed as the GW550, the phone comes in a candybar form-factor and features front-facing QWERTY keyboard, that reminds me of the Nokia E71x. The LG GW550 also has a non-touch-sensitive 2.4-inch display with QVGA resolution, a 3MP camera, stereo speakers, HSDPA 7.2Mbps (HSUPA 2.0Mbps) connectivity and 1300mAh battery.

The LG GW550 runs Windows Mobile 6.1 and has a 2.4-inch QVGA display, 3-megapixel camera and 7.2Mbps HSDPA / 2Mbps HSUPA with support for the 850/1900/2100MHz bands.

Nokia N79 Active

nokia-n79nokia-n79Nokia unleashed its latest Nseries phone, the Nokia N79 Active, featuring a running companion – the Polar Bluetooth WearLink heart rate belt. This belt allows you to monitor your heart rate while practicing so you can improve the way you train by staying focused on your training goals.

While you’re training you can listen to the music stored on the 4 GB microSD card you’ll find enclosed in the Nokia N79 Active pack. There will also be a pair of sports headphones and an armband which should make the Nokia N79 easier to wear while jogging.At the same time you can monitor your heart rate using the handset, again, and see if you need to step up or if it’s time for a little brake.
Other features include headphones, an armband, FM tuner, a 4GB microSD memory card for your songs and photos and integrates with the Nokia Music Store, which is not yet available in the US. The Nokia N79 Active will be available in select markets for approx. $492 before taxes and subsidies.
