Toshiba’s new 13.3-inch laptop starting at 4.74lbs, the configurable Toshiba Satellite U500-ST6321 features an Intel Pentium or Core 2 Duo processor, integrated Intel GMA 4500MHD or ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 512 MB dedicated graphics, up to 500 GB disk, up to 8 GB of system memory to DDR2 memory, a DVD burner, and 6 – or 12-stack. The screen has a resolution of 1280 × 800 pixels. The power of Windows Vista includes portable stereo speakers and a microphone, a webcam, 802.11n WiFi, Gigabit Ethernet LAN, 56k modem, optional Bluetooth, two USB ports and a standard USB / eSATA combo port, ExpressCard slot A multi – in-one media card reader, and HDMI and VGA outputs. Regarding the design, the Satellite U500-ST6321 Luxury Sports Matrix structure and choice of two colors: brown (includes a backlit keyboard LED) and pink.

Toshiba Announces 16GB microSDHC Memory Card
toshibaToshiba has just launched its the spanking new 16GB microSDHC memory card that will come in two SD speed classes – Class 2 and Class 6. This new model will come in two SD speed classes – Class 2 and Class 6, respectively. Both cards are compatible with Class 6 of the SD memory card standard and so have minimum write speeds of 6MB/s. But Toshiba said they can write at up to 20MB/s write speeds. The 16GB SDHC card won’t be out until April, but the 8GB SDHC will be available next month.
There is no word on pricing yet as at press time, but do expect to fork out a fair amount of dosh for either one when available.
